The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the largest baby crib recall in United States history. The recall involves cribs with dropdown sides which can be unsafe and evenly deadly. The recall has called back over 1 million units that were distributed in the United States and 968,000 units distributed into Canada. The CPSC has warned parents to stop using the crib and contact the manufacturer, to receive a free repair kit. They also warn against trying to fix the crib without the free repair kit they are sending to each consumer. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission there have been dozens of deaths over the past decade involving drop-side cribs made by different manufacturers. Nearly five million cribs have been recalled by the government, with the majority of them being drop side cribs. The recall involved many models of cribs made by Stork Craft with the Fisher Price logo.
