North Tollway Roads Create Electronic Toll Booths in Order to Create Safer Environment

Surveillance cameras at the Keller Springs toll plaza in North Dallas caught a man stealing a collection box from a toll plaza along the North Dallas Tollway.  Christine Connelly, the North Texas Tollway Authority spokeswoman claims that the cameras show him trying to dismantle the machine.

The NTTA has made arrangements to totally eliminate opportunities for crimes as such by updating the tollroads to be solely electronic.  Connelly claims that “now people do not have to fumble for change or stop and start their cars.” The man who stole the collection box ran off with a significant amount of money adding to theft of this sort which occurs eight times every year, according to police reports.
