A New Jersey jury has awarded $7.2 million to a doctor who sued the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey after she fell and broke her elbow at a North Jersey rail station. Dr. Soma Mandal of Jersey City suffered an injury that cost her full use of her right arm and she has to stop working at New York’s NYU Medical Center. The jury award included $3 million for pain and suffering and $4 million for future lost earnings.
