Men Assault SMU Student & are tracked from Victim’s Cell Phone

Three men were accused just last week, for the rape of a student who attended Southern Methodist University. Hours after the attack, one of the men used the victim’s cell phone, which lead the police to its signal. The signal lead the police and investigators to southern Dallas, where they found Luis Zuniga, who was arrested on a drug possession charge. The police were able to track down the other two men – Alfonso Zuniga and Arturo Arevalo, through activity on another cell phone that they had stolen. All three men face sexual assault charges from the kidnapping incident. The SMU student was targeted at random while she was out with her friends, leaving a party at about 2:00 in the morning. Jail records released from Dallas County Jail allege that all three men may be in the U.S. illegally. Further investigation is taking place on this case.
