Jaycee Dugard Case Back in Court
After kidnapping, raping, and holding Jaycee Dugard captive for 18 years in a ramshackle backyard compound. Mr. Garrido, a registered sex offender on parole at the time of his arrest, is accused of fathering two daughters with Dugard during her captivity The northern California couple’s court hearing is scheduled today at 1 p.m. (4 p.m. ET) at the El Dorado County Superior Court. Phillip Garrido, 58, and his wife, Nancy, 54, have pleaded not guilty to 29 felony counts in the kidnapping of Dugard who was 11 when she was snatched in 1991 from the street in front of her house in South Lake Tahoe, California.
