A 13-month Flower Mound investigation has finally led to the indictment of 17 individuals who were convicted of drug-related crimes. The actions of the individuals lead to the fatal heroin overdoses of three Flower Mound teenagers last year.
Many individuals think it strange that this drug killed three middle-class/upper-class individuals but many police officials claim that this drug is widely used and not confined to a particular group. The federal grand jury indicted 12 individuals last week, claiming that they conspired to distribute more than 100 grams of heroin throughout Flower Mound.
Many are shocked to see that the age of individuals involved in this case are merely 17-23 years of age. If the individuals involved in the case are in fact convicted, they could face up to 40 years in prison. The investigation also leads to 5 additional indictments, charging them with gun and drug violations. The investigation will lead to the conviction of the individuals involved in the drug related crimes.
