Drunken Driver Suspect killed 2 Men at Dallas Bus Stop

A drunken driving suspect plowed through a Dallas bus shelter across from Parkland Memorial Hospital, killing two unidentified men. These men were sleeping in the bus stop, and were described only as homeless. Both men were in their 30s, and died at the scene.

This incident happened shortly after 2 a.m., when the suspect’s pickup jumped a curb and hit the bus stop, on Harry Hines Boulevard, south of Inwood Road. The suspect was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. According to the police report, the suspect was identified as 50-year-old Julian Cadena Cerda. He is facing two counts of intoxication manslaughter, and is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail.
