The Food and Drug Administration has implemented a new communication plan, better known as, “The Strategic Plan for Risk Communication”, that would better convey information to the public about drug warnings and recall notices. It is said that this new plan will take up to five years to execute and it will include 70 different types of action tactics to advance our risk communications. Also, along with the 70 updated action tactics, the plan includes a database that the public can access that lists the risk communications and warnings provided by the FDA. The FDA plans to distribute this information through social medias such as Twitter and Facebook. The risk communications will send out messages over the Internet informing individuals about issues such as food contamination, outbreaks, recalls, and post pictures of actual food that has been recalled due to high – risk contamination.
