Bell Sports Helmets Recalled Due to Safety Hazard

Over 33,000 Exodus full-face bicycle helmets have been recalled by Bell Sports Company due to a safety hazard the helmet posed.  The plastic buckle on the chinstrap of the helmet was breaking off on several occurrences, which could have caused the helmet to come off while in route.   There has been one incidence reported of an accident occurring due to the hazardous helmets.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, the accident stemmed from the buckle on the helmet breaking.  The rider was treated for injuries below the eye.  Wal-Mart, Health Canada, and were two main carriers of the helmets.
