23,000 Infant Car Seats Recalled By Britax

Britax Company has issued a recall of 23,000 infant car seats due to the seat’s harness chest clip may break and pose a dangerous risk to a child. The company claims they have received four reports of the harness clip breaking and wants to make sure the issue is addressed.


Reports claim that three children have suffered cuts and scratches from the clip, as well as another report claiming a child put the clip in their mouth. The Chaperone infant car seat with the model numbers E9L95P2 (Red Mill), E9L95P3 (Cowmooflage), E9L69N9 (Moonstone) are all included in the recall and were manufactured between April 2009 and May 2010. The infant seats were sold nationwide from 2009 till 2010 and will not be in distribution due to the recall.
